At this point, the evidence is clear: glacier retreat is accelerating as a direct result of climate change. But what about the plants that colonize previously glaciated zones and that are slowly transforming alpine landscapes? The first results of the field campaigns carried out last year by CREA Mont-Blanc in collaboration with the National Alpine Botanical Conservatory (CBNA) and the Ecrins National Park (PNE) as part of the CLIMB+ project indicate an impressive diversity of plant species, all of which have appeared in the last 10 years following the disappearance of the glaciers.
