The common frog (Rana temporaria) can be found all over France, including, perhaps surprisingly, at elevations as high as 2,500 meters in the Alps. Because its development is highly dependent on temperature, the CREA Mont-Blanc team is working to understand how it manages to survive in such cold and restrictive environments.
