This winter, like every winter, the CREA Mont-Blanc team was out in the snow, tagging the Mont-Blanc massif’s Alpine chough population. Since 1998, more than 1,500 Alpine choughs have been marked with colored bands allowing them to be identified from a distance and leading to over 45,000 recorded observations of the tagged individuals. To learn more about what all of these observations can teach us about Alpine chough behavior, check out the full article in French.
