Across France this summer, weather conditions deviated from the norm. Hot (+1.1° C) and dry (-15 % precipitation) weather affected landscapes everywhere, and had a special impact on the mountains. While some areas were particularly impacted by severe drought, which is known to accelerate leaf senescence in summer and autumn, others appear to have been spared.
